"Traditional Chinese tea-making techniques & related customs" were successfully included in the UNESCO Representative List of Human Intangible Cultural Heritage on November 29, 2022. There are many varieties of white tea, including Silver Needle, White Peony, Shoumei, etc. The workshop will introduce you to different varieties of white tea, including the appearance, aroma and taste characteristics of the tea leaves. The "White Tea" workshop, a traditional Chinese tea-making technique that is a national intangible cultural heritage, will lead you to gain an in-depth understanding of the white tea-making process and tea-tasting techniques. This will be an interactive and hands-on experience that will give you a deeper understanding of white tea in traditional Chinese tea culture. Activities: 1. Tea Classification of White Tea 2. Basic understanding and production process of White tea 3. Selection of White tea and water 4. Selection of White tea and teaware for brewing 4. Students are welcome to bring their own water/filtered water to our tearoom and we can help and analysis the water quality by our professional equipment.
